“Salutations to that unparalleled physician who has, without leaving any residue, destroyed that group of diseases beginning with desire/passion (including lust, anger, greed, arrogance, jealousy, aversion and fear), which are constantly connected with / spreading all over the body, giving rise to anxiety, delusion and restlessness.”

Vāgbhaṭa, Aṣṭāṅga Hṛdayam

About Zaidy

We all seek balance—and it is often through imbalance that we come to recognize the deeper truths of health. My own path has been one of returning again and again to the body, to the breath, and to the cycles of the earth. What I have discovered is that true healing is not about striving or fixing, but about remembering: remembering how to live in rhythm with nature, how to honor the wisdom of the heart, and how to root into practices that sustain body, mind, and consciousness.

My work finds its center in Ayurveda—the science of life. I trained in the classical Gurukula lineage at Alandi Ayurveda in Boulder, CO, completing a four-year program with over 4,000 hours of clinical and educational study. As a Master Ayurvedic Practitioner and NAMA Doctor-level candidate, I have in-depth training in Panchakarma and Rasayana and was trained to administer the full range of therapies, including Shirodhara, external vastis, and classical bodywork treatments. With hands-on experience guiding clients through cleansing and rejuvenation, I specialize in creating safe, personalized protocols that unfold over 3–5 months—journeys that are as much about transformation as they are about purification.

My study of cleansing has also taken me deep into the subject of parasites (krumi) and the vast wisdom Ayurveda holds regarding their causes, effects, and treatment. Parasite cleansing is one of Ayurveda’s most profound contributions, and I draw on this knowledge to help clients restore balance when these subtle yet powerful disruptors are at play.

Cleansing is not one-size-fits-all. Panchakarma, while powerful, is not appropriate for everyone, and I am passionate about helping each individual discover the level of cleansing or rejuvenation that meets their unique needs. For some, this may mean a full Panchakarma; for others, a gentler at-home cleanse, a parasite protocol, or a Rasayana plan focused on nourishment and renewal. In every case, my joy comes from walking beside clients as they shed what no longer serves them and reclaim a deeper sense of vitality, clarity, and balance.

Alongside Ayurveda, my perspective has been enriched by Tibetan Medicine (Sowa Rigpa), Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the curanderismo practices of my Puerto Rican ancestors. Each lineage affirms that health arises when we live in right relationship with nature and with ourselves.

Movement has always been my first language. My background in Ashtanga Yoga, Prana Vinyasa, and Movement Culture allows me to support others in rediscovering the wisdom that lives in their bodies. As both a student and teacher of Prana Vinyasa—a practice rooted in the Krishnamacharya tradition, modern somatics, Tantra, and Ayurveda—I guide practitioners into an embodied intimacy with the awakened heart.

For me, Ayurveda is not only a clinical science but a living tradition, a conversation between ancient texts and modern lives. My deepest commitment is to hold that conversation with reverence—bridging timeless wisdom with the needs of today, and helping each person uncover the root of imbalance so they may return to their natural state of balance, vitality, and wholeness.

Teachers & Lineage

My teacher is Alakananda Ma, physician and Ayurvedic doctor, who has been practicing and teaching Ayurveda since 1988. She is the founder of Alandi Ayurveda Gurukula in Boulder, Colorado, where I received my formal training. Drawing on her own background in Western medicine, Alakananda designed our program to mirror the rigor of medical school: we learned in the classroom, while completing over 2,000 hours of direct clinical experience with patients. She taught us to see through both lenses — the science of Western medicine and the wisdom of Ayurveda — so that we can work side by side with physicians, bringing a truly integrative approach to healing.

Her husband and spiritual partner, Sadananda, is my meditation and bhakti teacher. Under his guidance, I studied Mahamudra meditation, a practice that has profoundly changed my life. Learning meditation in this lineage was not only spiritual training, but also essential preparation for clinical work — training the mind in stillness and presence so that we can become better pulse readers and deeper listeners for our patients. His teachings in meditation and devotional song continue to guide how I show up in both clinical and spiritual practice.

Alakananda Ma herself was a close student of Dr. Vasant Lad, one of the foremost Ayurvedic physicians of our time, whose pioneering work brought Ayurveda to the West. His teachings deeply shaped Alandi’s approach to Ayurveda, and through Ma, his influence continues to ripple through my work today.

At the heart of Alandi is Raghudas Maharaj, the hidden saint of Maharashtra who is regarded as the guru and protector of our lineage. Raghudas lived a life of profound humility and universality, gathering disciples from every walk of life — who came together at his feet in harmony. He is remembered for his deep love and his capacity to see beyond divisions, embodying the truth that the light of the Divine shines equally in all beings.
