Why Cleanse in the Autumn?
Ancient Āyurvedic scholar, Vagbhata (circa 600 CE), emphasized the importance of the summer to autumn transition. He taught that as summer ends, Pitta dosha—associated with heat—peaks in the body, potentially leading to imbalances. The digestive fire weakens during the summer because the heat from the core of the body spreads beyond the digestive tract. He continues, “Hence all general measures to mitigate imbalanced doshas and to improve digestive activity should be adopted.”
A guided seasonal reset:
Awakens Agni (digestive fire)
Pacifies and cools the heat of accumulated Pitta dosha
Supports mental clarity and emotional coolness
Helps establish new daily routines and habits to ground into Autumn
